MIPS created asynchronous Arts courses allow for students to work on course content without live lessons.
EXPLORING ART - Offered for Grades 2/3 and Grades 4/5
Welcome to Exploring Art at MIPS! This course is designed to introduce young artists to the exciting world of visual arts. Through engaging video lessons and hands-on projects, students will explore different art forms, techniques and concepts. Students can learn at their own pace through fun, easy-to-follow videos that teach students the basics of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more. Each video is designed to build on the skills learned in the previous lesson. To support students in their artistic journey, MIPS mails a free art kit containing essential materials. From paints and brushes to sketchbooks and clay, the kit ensures that students have everything they need to complete their projects. |
EXPLORING MUSIC - Offered for Grades 2/3 and Grades 4/5
This asynchronous music course is created with flexibility in mind for students that want the high quality of a MIPS Music course without the live lesson requirement. Students will learn from enjoyable and interactive video lessons as they sing, play instruments, move, create, and analyze music. Each lesson builds on the last to develop students music skills and understanding. A free music kit will be sent to each student that includes music instruments. |
